Making Positive Change
Confidence building to focus on what you want and how to achieve it! This course will help you to make positive changes and generate momentum to move forward in ways most useful to you, whilst learning how to build your confidence, optimism and resourcefulness.
Recognise and understand behaviour patterns - in self and others, build confidence, self-esteem and personal effectiveness, develop a positive focus, use solution focused approach to problems, make choices -explore options, take and give responsibility, make and refuse requests, express opinions and feeling appropriately, give and receive criticism and compliments, manage stress, understand the principles of Transactional Analysis and Self re-parenting.

Dealing with Stress & Anxiety Workshop
These workshops will help you to understand your anxiety and offer you different coping strategies to manage it.
Create Confidence through Art
Building confidence and self-esteem whilst involved in an art/craft project.
Exploring personal values through the use of value cards, identifying skills and interests and (using Adult Directions software) explore career options which suit your skills, interests and needs.
Getting Ready For Work (GRoW)
Work out what you want to do now and in the future. Identify your strengths, skills and resources. Build a toolkit you will use on your way towards work. (Completing application forms, writing CV's and practising interview skills). Develop an action plan and identify who might help. GRoW in confidence!
Opportunity to practice & prepare for interviews, including 1:1 support sessions with practical guidance and techniques from a professional.
Confidence with Computers
Do you need to improve your basic computer skills? Would you like to learn how to use Microsoft Word and Excel, and set up and/or use email? This course will get you up and running in IT.
A chance to practice your IT skills with the support of volunteers. If you’ve attended one of the IT courses, bring along your folder!
English Speaking as Other Language (ESOL)
We have 3 different English classes available. Please find the details below:
ESOL – Beginner Elementary
Learning English for beginners following an Elementary level textbook structure. All clients will be assessed to determine which class they should attend.
ESOL – Intermediate Elementary
Learning English for Intermediates following an Elementary level textbook structure. For those more confident with written and spoken English.
ESOL – Conversation Classes
Conversation classes for all levels. Learning how to converse in English with other learners in a friendly environment. Classes are £3 per session (cash only), payable upon arrival.
