How can Works for Us help me? 


We help our clients move closer to finding suitable work, training or volunteering opportunities. We help with:
  • Improving confidence, self-esteem and motivation
  • Reducing and managing stress and anxiety
  • Providing careers advice and guidance
  • Job searching, creating CVs and preparing for interviews
  • Developing essential work skills and experience through volunteering
  • Improving  IT and digitals Skills

When is Works for Us open?

 Monday – Thursday, 9am – 4.30pm, Friday 9.00am - 3.00pm (excluding bank holidays and certain seasonal holidays).

What do I need to do to access Works for Us​? 

We ask all prospective clients to attend a registration session before accessing our services – this process takes approximately 30 minutes and helps us to understand how we can best support you. Once this process is completed, you have access to all of the services we offer. No formal referrals are necessary.  ​

How can I register with Works for Us? 

If you wish to register please contact us via our Registration page.


I don't feel comfortable attending a registration session alone. Can I bring someone with me?

Yes. You are welcome to bring a friend, family member or support worker with you for additional support.  

Can I access the service if I’m already employed?

Yes. As an inclusive organisation, our services are open to anyone over the age of 18, including those in paid employment.

I don’t have an appointment but I need help. What can I do? 

If your request is urgent, please call us. 

What types of courses and training do you provide? 

We provide a range of courses, workshops and training opportunities to help you improve your soft and functional skills. Take a look at our full range of courses ​here.

I need to create or complete my CV. Can you help? 

Yes. If you have an existing CV that needs revising, we can book you in for a one-to-one IAG appointment with our Careers Adviser. 

Alternatively, if you'd like to complete your CV at home but need some help with structuring the content, you can find some great CV template examples online here. 

I have an interview coming up and need to prepare. Can you help?  

Yes. If you'd like to discuss interview techniques or take part in a mock interview, we can book you in for a one-to-one IAG appointment with our Careers Adviser. 

Alternatively, if you'd like some support with looking your best at the interview, why not book in for a one-to-one appointment with our popular Dress for Success service? 

I am unable to attend an appointment, course date or workshop. What should I do? 

If you know you will be unable to attend a scheduled session, please let us know beforehand by telephone, email or text.

If you fail to let us know that you cannot attend a scheduled session, your absence will be recorded and it may affect your ability to access our services in future. 

Do I have to pay to access Works for Us?

No. Our services are completely free to access.
