Works for Us – Client Agreement

Our Service

Works for Us is a charity dedicated to supporting individuals into employment, training and personal development.

We provide a blended support service, which may include:

- Advice and guidance
- Training and workshops
- 1:1 support sessions
- Coaching (1:1 and group-based)

Our aim is to support you to build confidence, develop skills and take ownership of your progress towards work or training.


Our Approach

We tailor our support to you as an individual.

As part of this, we use a coaching approach, which means:

- You are supported to think, reflect and explore your options
- We will listen, ask questions and provide appropriate challenge
- You are responsible for your decisions, actions and progress

This approach supports confidence, independence and long-term change.


Agreement (Contracting)

At the start of your journey, we will agree:

- Your goals and focus
- The type of support you will receive
- Expectations of both you and our team


Reviewing Progress (Re-contracting)

We recognise that your needs may change.

We will regularly review your goals, progress and the support you receive to ensure it remains relevant, flexible and personalised.


What We Will Do

We will:

- Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Treat you with respect and dignity
- Deliver a professional and ethical service
- Listen and support you to develop your skills and explore solution to move forward
- Maintain confidentiality, unless there is a safeguarding concern
- Work in line with equal opportunities and relevant legislation

- Job search advice and guidance
- CV development and applications
- Interview preparation and coaching
- Personal development and communication skills
- Digital skills (including AI support)
- Access to training courses and workshops
- Supported volunteering opportunities
- Working Wardrobe (interview/work clothing)
- Access to online learning and job search resources


Your Commitment

To get the most from the service, we ask that you:

- Treat staff, volunteers and other clients with respect
- Engage in sessions and activities
- Take responsibility for your progress and actions
- Attend appointments or inform us if you cannot
- Provide up-to-date contact details
- Inform us of any changes to your circumstances
- Complete required paperwork where needed
- Provide feedback to support service improvement


Confidentiality & Safeguarding

Your information will be kept confidential unless:

- There is a risk of harm to you or others
- We are required to share information by law


Behaviour Expectations

- We operate a zero tolerance approach to abusive or threatening behaviour
- Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave
- Misuse of IT systems may result in restricted access


Smoking Policy

Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is not permitted on our premises.
If you wish to smoke, you must use designated areas outside of the shopping centre.


Working in Partnership
This service is a shared responsibility:
- We provide support, guidance and challenge
- You bring commitment, engagement and action


By accessing, booking or participating in Works for Us services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to this agreement and our associated policies.
